GeoTriples Spark Campaign is Open

Try GeoTriples Spark beta to transform big geospatial data into RDF graphs.

LinkedOpenGeospatialData.jpg

The GeoTriples Spark campaign aims to check if the program can handle any given term map. Feel free to try and execute the project with different term maps, to check how it handles them.

Try the GeoTriples Spark beta release, an extended version of GeoTriples capable of transforming big geospatial data into RDF graphs. To enable the transformation of big geospatial data, GeoTriples has been extended to run on top of Apache Spark and Hadoop or Hops (a new distribution of Apache Hadoop developed by KTH, RISE SICS, and Logical Clocks AB).

GeoTriples-Spark can run in a standalone machine or in a Hadoop based cluster, but it is more efficient when it runs on Hops as it is a write-intensive application.

Publishing geospatial data as Linked Open Geospatial Data

GeoTriples generates and processes extended R2RML and RML mappings that transform geospatial data from many input formats into RDF.

Two Car Sharing Campaigns now Open

Car passengers and drivers can now try new mobile sharing services.

Car_sharing.png

Following a collaborative consumption trend, existing car owners can rent their cars to other people for a short period of time. This use case allows Android mobile phone users to rent a vehicle temporarily on-demand at a variable fee depending on the distance travelled or usage.

Beta-testers can act as a driver or as a passenger. The driver is a person who wants to rent a car and drive it for a short period of time from one point to another. The passenger is a person who wants to share a car with other people (at least with a driver) for a short period of time from one point to another.

For more instructions, please read both Car sharing beta-testing campaigns

IoF2020 BIT Campaign Is Open

Tracking wines or beverages along the transportation chain is the main goal of B.I.T. project.

Try the IoF2020 Beverage Integrity Tracking system, an IoT based solution to monitor the transport conditions and to open a direct channel from the producer to the retailer.

Testers should sell wine to retailers over the summer/beginning of autumn period.

B.I.T  uses Internet of Things technologies to obtain data on shipping conditions and on final client satisfaction, allowing beverage producers to exactly know if, when and where accidents occur during transportation (excess heating, low temperatures), and to receive feedbacks from final retailers (comments and/or complaints from wine shops & restaurant clients).
