ReachOut Project

ReachOut is a Coordination and Support Action (CSA) helping H2020 projects in the area of software technologies to implement beta testing campaigns. ReachOut acts as an operational intermediary between research projects and the open market. ReachOut helps research projects to implement best practices with beta testing methodologies and to recruit beta testers by running promotion initiatives to develop connections between research projects and potential users and beta testers. The duration of the project is 36 months from January 2019 to December 2021. ReachOut helps Campaign Managers set up beta testing campaigns and recruit beta testers. ReachOut asks beta testers to beta test a software and to provide feedback.

Risks and Benefits of Participating

No risk is foreseen and no commitment is required neither from Campaign Managers nor Beta Testers. As a beta tester, the only discomfort you might experience may come from relative difficulties in completing the testing task if the software submitted to you is not mature enough. We recommend Campaign Managers that they offer a compensation, at least symbolic, to beta testers. However, it is likely that you will not receive any personal benefit for your participation in this project besides possibly learning more about the technologies behind the software you have volunteered to test.

Commitment

Your participation in ReachOut project is voluntary. You can choose not to participate or to leave the project activities at any point. Please ask all the questions you may have so you can be completely sure to understand all the proceedings of the study, including risks and benefits.
